Ketten Wälder consistently focuses on continuous new and further product development, the implementation of higher quality, additional grades and proactive reactions to customer and market requirements.

And this is exactly what its aurox® product range stands for, which is characterized by the following unique selling points, among others:

  1. higher tensile strength with lower nominal thickness = dead weight reduced by more than 30%,
  2. dynamic strength above standard values = 30% higher load-bearing capacity.

Almost 50 years of experience in chain production created the ideal conditions for starting the production of stainless steel chains in 1995, developing the inox product range and registering the cromox® brand in 2008.

Since then, Ketten Wälder has been continuously developing new and improved products and implementing higher quality, additional grades in response to customer-specific requirements.

This is also the case with the new aurox® product range

Due to the higher tensile strength of the strictly selected Grade 80 material, aurox® is more resilient and therefore technically superior at lower nominal thicknesses - compared to Grade 60.

In practice, this means:

In applications where space is limited, an aurox® chain slings replaces a Grade 60 chain of the next largest nominal thickness without any restrictions. The reduction in dead weight by more than 30% offers a significant advantage in terms of optimized working ergonomics and economic sustainability.

With its dynamic strength above standard values, aurox® also offers a 30% increase in load capacity compared to Grade 60 chain slings.

For special applications, such as continuous use in clean rooms, special surface treatments of the chains and/or components can also guarantee the highest possible wear resistance, surface cleanliness, optimum cleanability and corrosion resistance.

The aurox® product line for ATEX

The increasing demand for high-quality stainless steel products for applications in the ATEX area has played a key role in Ketten Wälder GmbH's decision to expand its aurox® product range. The abbreviation ATEX stands for ATmosphères EXplosives, a term originating in the French language that identifies the use of materials and products in environments that are considered potentially explosive due to flammable gases, vapors or dust particles.

The aurox® product line, which is characterized by the use of specially selected, low-spark raw materials and exceptional corrosion resistance, thus offers an optimal solution for use in such critical atmospheres.

These properties are essential to ensure the safety and reliability of the products under extreme conditions while fully complying with the strict safety regulations and standards that apply in potentially explosive atmospheres.
